hello, thanks for the mail. this one seems to have stirred quite a lot of
response.
i actually used alldas for my research 'cos it seemed to be more up to date and
according to its archive for WoH: out of 28 hits this month, 4 were *nix boxes,
this works out as near enough 14%. ok, so it's not a huge chunk, but it's a
chunk none the less. enough to warrant WoH as a group that hacks something
 other than NT if put in context against other defacement groups.

and for the whole of WoH's life so far - out of 92 boxes, 20 ran *nix. about 22%
 of the total:

as for the technical genius bit, fair comment, but as the guy in the interview
admits, he is just some 'lame unicode kiddie.' these guys admit that they are
just
defacers, as proved by the 3 way handshake question [establishing a connection
over tcp/ip by sending 3 packets: client->server. server->client.
client->server = reliable connection. ok, poor explanation :)].
 i'm not defending them, and i'm not condoning what they do, your comments were
fair, but i work for a technology news service and people like reading
articles like this. they really do, the hits prove it. and i can't say i always
agree on a company's editorial policies, but we've all gotta hold a job down.

cheers,
